If you are looking to sell artwork from your collection, Artworld of Sherway offers a safe and discrete alternative to the auctions. Whether you have an entire estate collection or a single painting, we are pleased to provide, at no charge, estimates of value for paintings that are of a type and value typically sold at the gallery.
Please note that this is a service provided as a courtesy. If you require a written appraisal, a fee will apply . And if you own a painting that requires care and attention, our conservation and restoration services can meet your needs.

If you are interested in selling work by an artist not found in the list above, please contact us with complete details so we can assess the value.
Some of the details we will need include.
- Artist's Name & how artwork is signed
- Dimensions of the artwork and its medium
- Date of the artwork
- History of the artwork. Where and when was the artwork acquired?
- Any available supporting material for the artwork. (Appraisals and Certificates of Authenticity)
- Condition of the artwork
- A good quality colour image of the front and back of the artwork, along with a close-up of the signature.
Other details to consider:
- After a fair market value has been agreed upon, we may need to examine the artwork for condition and authentication.
- In the case of larger works or collections which may be awkward to transport, we will visit your location to view the works.
- Crating and shipping is available when needed.
- Purchase options include outright purchase or consignment sale.
- Commission with regard to consignment sales is an agreed-upon percentage between Artworld of Sherway and the seller.
