Svetlana Gadjieva (1963 - ) Svetlana Gadjieva was born in 1963 in Cheljabinsk, Russia. There she studied at the Top fine art institute in St. Petersburg, Russia. She graduated from the College of Repin Art Academy. Upon graduating from the Academy, Svetlana pursued a career as a commercial designer and artist. Svetlana has mastered a variety of mixed media techniques, but focuses her talent on the use of watercolours. She gives new life to the past as she works with subtle cool tones and moods as she recreates pieces of European cityscapes. Recent Exhibitions Since 1994 takes part in annual exhibitions of St. Petersburg artists “Artists of Russia” traveling exhibition. (This exhibition traveled throughout Europe, the British Isles, and U.S.A. & Japan) “Opening Day” Exhibition for the Municipality of St. Petersburg “Anthology of Modern Art” group exhibition, St. Petersburg. Solo exhibit Verzelen, Germany. Solo exhibit “Russian Centre” Gdansk, Poland. 2003 Group exhibition at Mr. and Mrs. Tovbin home. San Francisco, CA. Svetlana’s works have been seen throughout Europe, the British Isles, Germany, the USA and Argentina. She currently resides in Russia where she continues her career as a designer and painter.
